My name is George Privon. I am an astronomer, formerly living and working Chile. This site is a chronicle of my time there. The focus was mostly outdoors and travel, but I occasionally wrote about science topics, if they relate directly to Chile.

Technology

This blog is hosted on a DigitalOcean (referral link) virtual server and posts are written in a flavor of markdown (specifically, kramdown) using the vim editor. The markdown files are converted to html with jekyll. Images are hosted on a mediagoblin instance and videos are linked from my vimeo account.
